To ensure all welders are properly qualified in accordance with governing codes.

To supervise the quality of contractors welding work and carryout proper surveillance and inspection of welding activities.

To ensure progressive and systematic acceptance and retention of welding records to enable turnover of original records to the Client on handover of major parts of the project.

Ensure all quality control records for the work are progressively accumulated, indexed and available to support a phased systematic acceptance and handover of the plant to the Client in accordance with the project Acceptance of the Work Plan.

Carryout witness, inspection and surveillance checks in accordance with the Site Quality Plan and contractor/subcontractor inspection and test plans.

Ensure contractors’ dimensional control methods for checking that all works are properly set-out and satisfactory Supervise specialist surveying contractors when necessary. When requested, assist in the site audits carried out on the construction site by audit teams.

Provide technical assistance to ensure that all construction material, equipment and vendor packages are properly inspected on receipt, correctly maintained during storage and installed in accordance with required specifications.

Immediately stop any unsafe work practices which are likely to cause accidents or are injurious to health.

Encourage safety innovations among the contractors and participate in site safety presentations and awards.

Be responsible for the discipline and timekeeping of staff and labour in his/her/her work area; when disciplinary action is necessary, ensure that it is taken in accordance with Company and site procedures.
