Skills: |
Shallow heavy
oil experience preferred but not required. 15 -20 years
experience in 2D & 3D seismic interpretation using UNIX
workstations and the planning and acquisition of 3-D
seismic. Extremely proficient in using the latest geological
and geophysical software interpretation tools (Landmark &
Schlumberger). Experience in seismic processing a plus.
Familiarity with seismic attribute analysis to model rock
properties, sedimentary facies and depositional architecture
where possible. Knowledge of basin modelling techniques,
stratigraphic trap models for carbonate and clastic regimes
would be beneficial. Experience with 4D an advantage. Must
be able to work with and understand reservoir engineering
and production information, including supporting the
development of the integrated reservoir model as reservoir
characterization is an integral part of the job.

Additional
Attributes: A successful track record with major
independent oil and gas companies active in exploration or
development is essential. General understanding of the major
elements within the hydrocarbon system, their integration
and associated risk in exploration or field development. Is
a team player, is creative/innovative, has a proven track
record of creating value and effectively managing risk.
Worked within a real time decision making 3-D visualization
centre environment a plus. Prior mentoring/coaching
experience, as knowledge transfer is an integral part job.
