Duties will be
wide ranging and will require flexibility in outlook
together with the occasional travel to other locations
Responsibilities:
· Prepare
Invitation to Tender packages for any contracts or purchase
orders required for project at the time of assignment
commencement.
· Manage the
procurement process from bid to award for all such contract
packages, including the evaluations, approvals, final
negotiation and preparation of final contract documents.
· Post contract
administration for all project contracts.
· Management of
variations and claims· Provision of input for monthly and
other project reporting.
· Provision of
contract advice to PMT members.
· Coaching and
mentoring for PMT members as necessary. Requirements: ·
Educated to first degree level or equivalent professional
qualification.
· Background in
Contract Administration and Contract management (Quantity
Surveying background preferred).
· Good team
player with a pro-active and flexible attitude, and able to
work in a challenging overseas environment, with minimal
supervision. · Fluent in written and spoken English.
· Technical
professional with experience in the oil and gas or petro-chemical
industry.
· Proven record
in the provision of contract services for world-wide
projects for a major oil and gas operator.
· Able to
demonstrate a good knowledge of business awareness, key
project performance drivers and of financial and commercial
aspects of project delivery.
· Experience of
different contracting methods for project execution
including EPIC.
· Familiar with
contemporary IT systems and software.
· Familiar with
the concept, scope and requirements of project assurance
methodologies (stage gate systems and processes)
